Cœur Principles
He is The Focus, The Leader, The Source, The Provider, The Healer, The Guide, The Lover.
The family unit is grown, marriages are healthy, and children are taught and raised in every stage of their life.
People will know what Christ has done and what He says about us and will be equipped to speak the word with confidence.
Our praise will break the chains holding down those who are lost.
Everyone is called to contribute what they have to the kingdom. There is nothing in this world that reveals Him in a greater way.
Invest in others as you have been invested in, make others greater than you, and walk with people through the journey.
Prayer is a constant conversation in our house, and the Holy Spirit will be called upon in all cases.
Statement of Faith
We believe that the Scriptures are made up of 66 books that are the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God written. The Bible is the complete revelation of God’s will for salvation, and is the ultimate authority on all issues of life, faith, and practice of the Christian religion. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, Holy, Infinite, Perfect, Eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is sovereign in His power and purpose and has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory (John1:1, John 14:26, Romans 8:9).
We believe God the Father is the creator and author of all creation and our salvation, and has brought everything into existence by His will (Genesis 1:1, Ephesians 4:6). He gave His only Son for us and is our perfect and heavenly Father (Matthew 23:9, John 3:16).
We believe Jesus Christ, a Person of the Trinity, and is eternal being at the beginning of Creation the Word that was spoken to create (John 1:1). Christ came to earth being conceived through the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and was sinlessly perfect being both fully man and fully God throughout His time and ministry on earth. His sacrificial death on the cross is substitutionary and representative for us (II Corinthians 5:21) and is the one and only way for salvation (John 14:6). He rose bodily from the dead and ascended to his Father’s right hand, where he now ministers as our Great High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-16, 1 John 1:9).
We believe that the Holy Spirit, a Person of the Trinity, in all that He does, glorifies Christ and gives us direct access to God the Father (Ephesians 2:18, John 16:14). It is the Holy Spirit’s work to regenerate sinners, and by Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God (Titus 3:5-7). He also indwells, guides, equips, and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service (1 Corinthians 12:4-11).
We believe that all of mankind is in need of salvation due to sin, which only comes through Jesus Christ who died on our behalf, standing in our place, giving us life and righteousness with God through faith in Him (Ephesians 2:8-9). Everyone who confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised him from the dead, will be saved. Believing with the heart to be justified and confessing with the mouth to be saved (Romans 10:9).
We believe in water baptism as an important step and command from Christ and although it is not required for salvation, it is a response of obedience from salvation (Matthew 28:19). This is an outward physical proclamation for believers to the world of your personal decision to repent of sin and to follow Christ with everything (Acts 2:41-44). This is a sign of washing away the old life and being reborn into a life with Jesus Christ (Romans 6:1-8).
