We believe that God's Word, the Bible, can transform any heart here on earth and forever more. When we read the Word and live it out we find the greatest life that Christ has designed for us. Some may think that only adults can understand His written Word, but we have seen the power it can have in a young child's life. From His Word, a child can learn about love, hardship, wisdom, strength, kindness, and so many other life transforming lessons.

The Bible is going to be an integral portion of the education process at Cœur Academy. Daily readings, activities, and worship time are all a part of the spiritual growth of our students. This Bible-based atmosphere is not only going to change the classroom but we believe it is going to change the family unit and the local surrounding community.

Our biblical lesson plans will follow the themes and lessons found in Cœur Church's children ministry program. We are excited to reinforce the Word of God in every facet of their life.

We understand that each and every child is incredibly unique, and God made them that way. Each child is going to think, operate, dream, and learn differently than his or her peers. To expect every child to find success in one route or vision of learning is an unrealistic expectation. The Montessori method understands this truth and has created a path of learning that each unique child can thrive in.

What is the Montessori method?

Montessori is a scientifically based education approach that emphasizes independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child's natural psychological, physical, and social development. The education process is based on the belief that all children are unique individuals, that they all have immense potential, and that they want to learn and be busy. Therefore, the teacher needs to guide each child through the learning process by using materials that fit their specific needs and pace.

When you walk into a Montessori inspired classroom you can recognize that something different is happening.

Society has put pressure on teachers to be the sole provider of academic growth for children. However, there are so many gifted people within our community that can enhance the growth and development of a child. Doctors, engineers, graphic designers, psychologists, and contractors are just a few examples of diverse community leaders.

Imagine a classroom where a student can learn about the spine from a chiropractor. How amazing would it be to learn how to build a bridge from an architect? What a privilege it would be to have an accountant teach a student about money management. If we want our students to learn different information, skills, and practical life lessons we need to include the community.
